This burger bowl recipe is a great quick ground beef dinner idea. This dish features all of those wonderful burger flavors. This recipe contains well-seasoned ground beef, crispy potatoes, pickles, and a YUMMY sauce. All the fixings of a good burger – but in a bowl!
I probably crave a burger at least once a week – no joke. Sometimes, however, I want something a little lighter than a burger but still want all those delish burger flavors. In my opinion, this dish is so much easier than making actual burgers because you don’t have to form patties or worry about having buns!

Burger Bowl Recipe Ingredients
- Ground beef: This protein is easy to find and cheap to use! In my opinion, I find this recipe a little easier than traditional burgers since you don’t have to form patties.
- Onion: Obviously no great burger is complete without an onion and this burger bowl is no different! I dice this up and cook it in with the ground beef.
- Special Burger Seasoning : This is the secret (yet not so secret) ingredient here. This seasoning makes this recipe so flavorful and yummy. I pick up my burger seasoning from Aldi, but plenty of other stores have great options! This seasoning works well too if you don’t have access to a burger seasoning at your local grocery store. Here is a similar homemade version of the burger seasoning if store bought isn’t your cup of tea.
- Romaine Lettuce: Lettuce serves as a great crunchy base to this bowl. You could totally use mixed greens here, but romaine lettuce gives a more burger-like experience.
- Pickles: Pickles give a nice flavor and crunch to this bowl. The pickle juice is also used to make the burger bowl sauce!
- Tomato: Tomato goes great on a cheeseburger, so it works wonderfully as a topping on this bowl.
- Roasted potatoes: Let’s be real – who doesn’t love roasted potatoes? Crispy and chewy – just plain amazing. These work SO WELL on this burger bowl. There are plenty of ways to make them – I like to make them in the air fryer. The oven is a great option too! You can see how I make them in this video!
- Shredded Cheddar : I mean freshly grated cheddar literally takes this burger bowl to the next level. Freshly shredded cheese tastes SO much better than the bagged stuff, plus it’s cheaper to buy cheese on a block! WIN WIN!
Burger Bowl Sauce and Seasonings
- Burger Bowl Sauce: There are probably thousands of this kind of sauce online, but this sauce is basically a blend of several condiments you probably already have in your fridge. The sauce is ridiculously easy to make and takes probably 2 seconds to throw together. It is seriously so good! Everyone in my family raves about this sauce.
- Garlic powder give AWESOME flavor to the potatoes.
- Onion powder also gives a very complimentary flavor to the potatoes.
