This greeting cards organizer is an EASY diy and ensures you’ve got a greeting card for every occasion.
We’ve all been there. The party starts in 30 minutes, and no birthday card in sight. If only there was an easier solution than running to Target on the way to the party. Enter: the easy DIY greeting cards organizer. This greeting cards organizer is in a binder which I LOVE because it doesn’t take up a lot of space. There are greeting card organizer boxes available, but I don’t want to have a random box sitting out all the time or taking up space in a drawer or on a shelf. I love using a binder to organize my greeting cards because I put the binder in a drawer and it won’t take up too much space. The binder method is a super easy way to organize all those greeting cards.
You only need a few items to create your own organizer at home.

This is what you need!
- A d-ring binder (I recommend one with a clear plastic cover on the front)
- THIS Printable
- Dividers with tabs and pockets
- First, you need my free greeting cards organizer printable! You will receive this fun printable directly in your email inbox. Print that sucker out and get going!
First, get a binder you love. A d ring binder helps the dividers not get stuck which makes flipping through the organizer easy! Make sure the binder has a clear plastic cover. Slide the cover page into the front of the binder! If I do say so myself, the “Nice to Greet you” cover makes things extra cute!
Next, Grab your dividers with tabs and pockets.
After, cut out the tabs and fold along the solid line with the label facing right side up. You’ll want the labels to be facing the correct way when the binder is closed. Slide each tab into the desired slot and place the dividers into each of the tabs. Now, place all the dividers into the binder in your preferred order.

Get those Greeting Cards
Now, grab cards for every card-worthy occasion. I like to be prepared for every occasion. It so comforting to know I have a card ready at a moments notice. I love to have the following card types:
- wedding
- baby shower
- engagement
- just because
- thank you
- sympathy
- graduation
Where to buy greeting cards?
I love to pickup greeting cards from Aldi and Trader Joes. Most greeting cards at these stores are only $1 each! The prices are a steal AND the designs are so cute. Not to mention, I love that I can pickup these cards while I am grocery shopping. Also, TJ Maxx and Homegoods have great budget friendly greeting card options as well. Lately, I have been buying my greeting cards in bulk on Amazon. The prices are AWESOME, and they have some fun card designers that sell cards exclusivley to Amazon. I really like this set of 40 greeting cards for only $14.99! That comes out to only about 37 cents per card! Love the price on this one. Also, Dollar tree also some fun greeting card options as well that typically sell at 2 for $1!
Organize those cards!
Lastly, place the greeting cards in the correct pocket based on the divider label. This DIY literally takes almost no time at all!
